Handwoven on traditional Malabar Frame looms, introduced to coastal Karnataka by the Basel Mission of Germany — the Udupi cotton saree carries nearly 150 years of weaving heritage in every thread. Delicate in appearance yet built to last generations, this is a saree that only grows more beautiful with time. This brown and white handwoven Udupi cotton saree features a body of clean, pure off-white in a plain weave, with no pattern to distract from the quiet beauty of the fabric itself. A thin rust-brown pinstripe runs along the border edge. The pallu deepens into a rich warm brown base with bold horizontal stripes in rust-orange, pale blue-grey and white. This saree is woven using 60s count cotton yarn. Feather-light, breathable, and crisp against the skin, it is everything a handloom cotton saree should be. Perfect for daily wear, office draping, casual outings, and hot summer days.
