Product Details

Handwoven on traditional Malabar Frame looms, introduced to coastal Karnataka by the Basel Mission of Germany — the Udupi cotton saree carries nearly 150 years of weaving heritage in every thread. Delicate in appearance yet built to last generations, this is a saree that only grows more beautiful with time. This terracotta orange handwoven Udupi cotton saree features an all-over checkered body woven in warm saffron-orange with subtle purple-violet checks, a deep purple border with crisp white pinstripes, and a richly striped pallu in mustard, maroon, and purple — finished with delicate woven buttis and hand-cut fringe tassels. This saree is woven using 60s count cotton yarn for both warp and weft. Feather-light, breathable, and crisp against the skin, it is everything a handloom cotton saree should be. Perfect for daily wear, office draping, casual outings, and hot summer days.
