Handwoven by master weavers on traditional pit looms in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, this Maroon Veldhari Kanjivaram silk saree is a study in regal power and heritage craftsmanship. The Veldhari border — one of the most revered designs in the Kanchipuram canon — features a continuous pattern of majestic elephant motifs, symbols of royalty, wisdom, and auspiciousness in South Indian tradition.

Pure mulberry silk threads are interlaced with real gold zari, creating the characteristic weight and lustrous sheen that no powerloom can replicate. The deep maroon colour has been the choice of brides across Tamil Nadu for generations — rich, commanding, and timelessly elegant.

At Seere, this saree is sourced directly from the weaving families of Kanchipuram — no middlemen, ethical pricing, every purchase directly sustains the living tradition of Kanchipuram weaving.
