Payment Gateway Terms and Conditions for Saree E-Commerce

Below are essential terms and conditions to include with your payment gateway integration for a saree-selling e-commerce brand. These are designed to align with industry norms, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for Indian e-commerce businesses.

IMPORTANT : The colors you see on your device may vary due to the varying color reproduction, brightness, resolution and temperature of individual devices. We will not accept exchanges under color perception concerns.
Seere cannot be held responsible for any damage that occurs to the saree after purchase due to rain, overuse, stains, incorrect cleaning and care and other normal wear and tear.
Attaches or ‘running’ blouse vary in length. This is due to difference in woven warp lengths. The measurements of these are specifically called out on our online store as a part of product’s description. Should you be purchasing from our retail stores, please request be measured prior to purchase if this is of concern.
If you have requested sari tassling, blouse detachment services to your purchased sari, exchanges/returns are not permitted.
The following are non-exchangeable item categories : Gift cards, collectibles, saris with detached blouse/tassling done.
Seere reserves the right to refuse an exchange if found invalid, in which case the relevant reasoning will be provided to you.

Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order and using the payment services, customers agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, as well as all related site policies and laws.

Payment Methods and Security

Payments may be made via verified credit/debit cards, net banking, wallets, UPI, and other authorized payment options supported by the gateway.
All transactions are processed using secure encryption methods to protect customer data and payment details. Your information remains confidential at all times.
The merchant will not store customer card credentials as per applicable legal and regulatory norms.

Order Processing

Orders are processed only after payment confirmation from the payment gateway. If a payment is flagged as suspicious or fraudulent, the order may be paused for investigation or cancelled, as appropriate.

Pricing and Charges

There are no hidden charges. The price at checkout is final and includes all applicable taxes, unless specifically mentioned otherwise.
Delivery charges, if any, are clarified at checkout.
Applicable payment gateway or processing fees are included in your total amount payable, unless otherwise stated.

Refund & Chargebacks

Refunds for cancelled, returned, or undelivered orders follow the return and exchange policy. Refunds (if applicable) are processed back through the original method of payment within the stipulated refund window, usually within 7–14 business days.
In the case of payment disputes or chargebacks, the merchant and payment gateway reserve the right to validate the claim and may require proof of transaction or delivery.
In rare cases where double charges or fraudulent transactions occur, notify customer service immediately for resolution. The payment gateway service provider is not liable for issues arising from unauthorized/fraudulent transactions, but will assist in dispute resolution.

Limitation of Liability

The payment gateway provider and merchant are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of payment services, except as mandated by law.
Liability is limited to the value of the transaction in question.

Compliance & Data Privacy

All transactions comply with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines for online payments, payment aggregators, and gateways. This includes KYC, AML, and PCI-DSS/PA-DSS standards for data security and privacy.
Customer information is used solely for order and payment processing, and will never be sold or shared with third parties not directly involved in the transaction.

Modification of Terms

The merchant reserves the right to update, modify, or change these terms at any time. Updates will be posted on the website and will be effective immediately upon posting.

Governing Law

These terms and any payment disputes are governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the business’s registered location.
